Become a Golf Access Centre - why and how?

Golf Access was created by PGA Professional Simon Wood.  Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about becoming a Golf Access Centre.

Golf Access is the perfect addition to the coaching setup of any club with 100% of our current centres surveyed confirming they would recommend it.  The following are just a few of the many benefits experienced by clubs:

  • Increased junior memberships

  • Increased adult memberships

  • Increased revenues throughout the club

  • High levels of motivation in participants

  • Increased retention

When you sign up to become a Golf Access Centre, the Golf Access team will assist in designing the ‘Golf Access Course’ at your club.

For the initial investment, you will receive the Golf Access License and a Launch Pack containing 15 packs of coloured wristbands, and 15 certificates and 15 packs of coloured poker chip ball markers.  You will also receive a Golf Access scorecard template for use at your course and events.  Golf Access branded tee markers are also available, and additional packs of bands, markers and certificates can be purchased as required.  Please get in touch for details / pricing.

Most clubs have indicated they have recouped their initial investment after a single session.

Here’s what a few of our Centres have to say about us:

“Golf Access has been a fantastic addition to the coaching programme here.  It really motivates participants to keep coming back to play more golf.  The on-course format is totally unique for beginners, while the bands and certificates gives them a clear pathway to obtaining a handicap.”

Adam Frayne, PGA Professional, Yelverton Golf Club

(Tournament winner on the Europro Tour, and has previously competed in EuropeanTour

events including The Open (Hoylake 2006) and the French Open)

“In under a year we have gone from having no junior section at the club, to having 20 junior members all having come through Golf Access.  It has transformed the atmosphere at the club with families spending more time around the club, which is great to see.  It’s something every club should be getting involved in.”

Stuart Disney, PGA Fellow Professional, The Mendip Golf Club

“It’s wonderful how Golf Access has encouraged golf clubs to make their course more junior / beginner friendly.  The transition from a Tri-golf or Get Into Golf event, to enjoying time on the course is much easier and more enjoyable for the fledgling players.  Thank you Golf Access!”

Tiffany MacKenzie, Director of Coaching, Saunton Golf Club

“Everyone who has taken part loves the programme!  Making a long course a more manageable distance has really helped increase their enjoyment here at Royal North Devon.  The feedback has all been positive.”

Ross Daniel, Teaching Professional, Royal North Devon Golf Club

“It provides a great link from beginners to Congu.  We have had several participants complete the programme and move on to adult tees already.”

Dave Watson, Junior Organiser, Carlyon Bay Golf Club
